Hello!

I'm João Miguel Tabosa Vaz Marques Silva, a seasoned Senior System Architect with a strong enthusiasm for exploring new technologies.

I'm currently working as a Senior Architect at Farfetch since August 2019, applying my deep understanding of high-performance, scalable e-commerce platforms in Porto, Portugal​.

Before Farfetch, I was the Information Technology Architecture Manager at Centauro (Grupo SBF) in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from May 2013 to July 2019. There, I participated in the design of the current e-commerce platform and was responsible for designing a new one wholly based on microservices focused on serverless deployments. I implemented CI/CD pipelines on both the legacy and new platforms, helping the company accomplish its goal of continuous innovation with a "Fail Fast, Fail Early" approach. My work also involved performance analysis using profiling tools, even in a production environment, implementing performance boost changes on the e-commerce website, and establishing best practices for coding and integration with other systems.

Before Centauro, I served as a Senior System Architect at Cnova - GPA from November 2011 to April 2013. I've also had the privilege of working as a Senior Developer for Liberty Mutual Insurance and GEDone, further honing my systems architecture and development skills.

My mantra, "Code 4 Fun, Code 4 Life," reflects my love for programming and technology, which I consistently demonstrate in my professional and personal endeavors​​.

On my GitHub profile, you'll find a variety of projects that I've put my technical skills and creativity into, such as "broker_to_tax", a simple CLI application transforming stock broker data into Portuguese tax information, and "mqtt-cube-control", an application controlling operational system features through an MQTT connected cube​​.

Being an avid programming enthusiast and tech fanatic, I've made more than 400 contributions over the past year, highlighting my commitment to continuous learning and the tech community​​. My ongoing dedication to technology and substantial experience in e-commerce platforms equips me to be a valuable contributor to systems architecture.
